What are the submittal requirements for a conditional use permit?

Applications for a conditional use permit may be obtained at the Kern County Planning and Natural Resources Department counter or on the Department’s website. Certain conditional use permit proposals are subject to the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). This determination will be made when a preliminary review of the application has been completed. Environmental information other affected party, may appeal the decision to the Board of Supervisors. During this appeal period no permits can be issued related to the approved use.

Form to initiate an environmental analysis (Initial Study) of the project to ensure compliance with CEQA. Please include the Environmental Checklist to identify environmental factors that may be potentially affected by the project.
