Following environmental review, a public hearing will be scheduled before the Kern County Planning Commission. The Planning Commission will consider the proposed specific plan, a staff report, public testimony, and any other information pertinent to the specific plan. At the conclusion of the public hearing, the Commission will formulate a recommendation to the Kern County Board of Supervisors. The Board is allowed, by law, to adopt specific plans only 4 times per year and Kern County sets these hearings on a quarterly schedule.
After the Planning Commission hearing(s), a public hearing by the Kern County Board of Supervisors will be scheduled to consider the recommendation of the Planning Commission.
